munbI wholeheartedly support this petition and believe that one of the basics to democracy is freedom. Freedom of speech & expression. President Musharraf has been running a reverse show for the last 8 years just like any dictator. It means he has gone from GOOD to BAD and from willingness to listen to no guts to listen, thanks to his incompetent advisor's who are also responsible for his possible demise. What president needs to understand is, this nation is strong enough to stand even after him and his men gone and done with. And they have been more of an pain in ass then any help. The apparently-better shape of economy is courtesy of dollars. The STOCK performance is not due to nation progressing but due to monopolist riches. And how can we forget the STEEL MILL scandal, the SUGAR MILL crisis and all the allotment scandals of ARMY officers and ministers and the list goes on. The truth of the time is this man has proved just another (repeat) PAIN IN ASS of this nation. DOWN with DICTATOR

Akeel ur Rehman FarideeI strongly condemn the act of Musharaf. Lifting of Martial Law is not enough, we want the revival of Judiciary on the state where it was on 03 November 2007.
Muhammad Madni AbbasiI strongly condemn the act of Musharaf. Lifting of Martial Law is not enough, we want the revival of Judiciary on the state where it was on 03 November 2007.

My hope is that Pakistan will gain the dtrength and help that they need to get their country back to the people. Education, knoweldge, and a voice will overcome!

AnonymousFor freedom, equality and justice!
Rashid KhanThis is wrong to think that it was battle between rulf of law and Rule of gun. Judiciary in Pakistan crossed its mandate and got extremely politicised and whole structure of the government was in jeopardy. The judges of the Supereme Court had started blieving themselves as above and unaccoutable for their misdeeds.
saadI am deeply disappointed at the stance taken by the west. They all cherish their free judiciary but for us they recommend Musharraf and his draconian laws.I really fear that due to the imposition of ban on media in Pakistan chances of a movement against Musharraf and his actions are rather dim.I appeal to everyone, all citizens of the world ,who believe in justice, please come forward ,and demend release of detained judges, and lawyers.Thats not all we want restoration of judiciary and of course constitution, free media and civil rights.
DR.S.A.ABBASIits patatic that terrists and currept people have been chosen to rule pakistan bu USA and west

imran shafii am in strong favour of independence of judiciary and freedom of speech/press.
AnonymousI entirely agree with the sentiments of general public. The only people supporting the Emergency are the Govt and its beneficiaries. Everybody else is furious. We must demand for the restoration of the erstwhile judicial structure and the 1973 Constitution ASAP. Otheriwse we go down the way Zimbabwe has gone as Mugabe is not willing to go away. These petitions are the way to gauge public reaction. Although now the Intelligence set-up is also gearing up to launch an opinion counter-coup through its own cyber capabilities.,
Muhammad KashifIt is high time that the civil society in Pakistan and the international community abroad should resist and protest in the strongest terms to force Dictator Musharraf to undo his unlawful measure taken on 3 November 2007 and to restore status quo ante.
Faheem ShahidI strongly condem Musharraf's act against the rle of law and pray that the Law would be restored and it would act according to the true Islamic Law from then on.
