This petition is designed to be sent to the necessary decision makers within Leeds Metropolitan University to stop the move from the Beckett Park Campus to the City Campus. There has still been no official notice that there is even a move, although teacher have been telling students that it is definate.
From a student's point of view, we do not want to move to another campus and some have chosen Beckett Park specifically for its location and beautiful atmosphere. This also means that students will have to move mid course, interrupting current students to move from one campus to another. There has also been no mention of a move of the library, thus meaning that we would have to learn in one place and research in another. This is inconveniant for all and with support by as many signatures as possible, more can be done to stop this. |
