By signing this petition we will be sending a strong message to the current and future Lebanese government that we are fed up with the constant corruption, incompetence, lack of initiative and complete disregard to heed the needs of the Lebanese people.

For decades Lebanon's politicians have grown richer from revenue generated by various government institutions as well as various international donations all of which were meant to be allocated towards various projects such as building new power stations, roads, schools, dams, better telecommunications network, garbage recycling facilities to name a few. All of which were SHELVED!!! You're probably wondering, if none of these projects were initiated then where has all that revenue gone? Check our beloved politicians bank accounts and personal asset portfolios and you'll see where that money has gone.

Now you must give these politicians credit, they've ALL managed to use the money, that is meant for improving living standards for the Lebanese people such as 24 hour power, clean drinking water, improved telecommunications network etc., to make themselves richer as well as insuring an endless revenue stream for their off spring.

Lebanon is heading for yet another crisis. This time it's in the form of a huge environmental crisis caused by the reckless GOVERNMENT bickering and procrastinating in the decision making regarding the garbage dumping sites. The politicians will not sign off on a resolution until they have locked in some form of personal financial return. Mean while the streets of Lebanon are covered in putrid toxic garbage and there is still no resolution in sight.

Over the years politicians have cleverly brain washed the Lebanese people into believing that delays in improvements in Lebanon's infrastructure and welfare have been a direct result of the horrible pointless civil war that Lebanon endured decades ago but the reality is that had all the money given to Lebanon since the civil war gone directly back into Lebanon, not the politicians pockets, Lebanon would have reclaimed its title as the Paris of the Middle East.

In 1945 a few days after the atomic bombing of Hiroshima which wiped out most of the city, the Japanese people restored their train and tram network to get the country moving again. Decades after Lebanon's devastating civil war the Lebanese people still don't have 24 hour electricity or a dedicated safe rubbish dump!

Please sign this petition so we can let these politicians know enough is enough !
