We need God in everyday life and that is what are country was formed on. Takeing God out of schools and other events we're taking away everything our country is based on.Flag

Name: Megan Lieff on Oct 21, 2003State: PACountry: USComments: While I don't neccecarily agree that they will start destroying houses of worship; because by stepping into such a place you are saying im okay with what is going on here, i agreed to be here (unless your minor, in which case your parents are saying that for you lol) I do agree that taking that out of the pledge would be wrong. Its understandable to say, make a law saying that you may choose whether or not to omit that line when reciting the pledge, if it bothers you that much but that would be all. As far as religion is concerned we should all be glad we even have the right to choose. Most people are not extremely religous and the average american life doesnt get in the way of their religion, therefore they dont realize how much schools and busnesses bend over backwords to respect peoples faiths. Our country does alot for us in the way of religous freedom. And if it truly bothers some parents that much to have their children say the pledge the can enroll them in a private school. If they have enough money to sue the schools and governments over this, then they can afford another form of education. And if they couldnt they could homeschool. Personally though I think the whole thing is ridiculous. -- But then again; thats only me.Flag
