Comments: As a parent of a LD child, early detection and advocacy has not only enabled and empowered my child (now in grade 6) to perform at grade level expectation, but also given him the much needed confidence and self-advocacy skills he will need for the rest of his life.

Comments: Learning disablities such as dyslexia are not being addressed in the public shcool system as they need to be. There should be schools that help these children in an intensive setting such as Kenneth Gordon School that helped our daughter greatly.

Comments: Quality public eduation needs to be available to all. It's making a parents' job even more difficult when we are trying to raise our children with extra needs to not use their disability as an excuse to get through life the easy way, when the government is using their disability...not being able to adequately fund education and provide necessary resources...because of money issues. It's not acceptable for my 3 boys to use their disabilities to get out of being accountable for their actions, and likewise, it's not appropriate for the government "boys" to do the same.
