We, the good citizens of Lawton Oklahoma, feel that we have rights on whether or not we should spay or neuter our pets. The city council of Lawton Oklahoma should have no authority to pass such a law prohibiting unspayed or unneutered dogs and cats within the city limits of Lawton. We the responsible pet owners disagree with the new law and feel that we are the ones being punished and fined wrongfully because of those that are non-responsible pet owners. For the city council to pass such a law they have stripped their responsible citizens from their rights. We the undersigned feel that the pet law is wrong and we the citizens should have say so on how to deal with the pet overpopulation. There are other ways to deal with this issue.

Breeders do not have control over when their dogs will be in cycle to breed, only God has that control. Since it is not always up to the breeder to have more than one litter per year they should not have to pay enormous fees
