Now that marriage law reform includes all couple combinations, and has bedded in with MP Williamson's humorous rainbow comments over Pakaranga highway, it is now time to propose a law reform that forbids sex outside of marriage. The purpose of this is to restrict the sex impulse to within the institution of marriage and effectively making homosexual sex and heterosexual sex illegal outside of the institution of marriage. It would effectively outlaw prostitution in New Zealand and would set a high standard for marriage to young and old to aspire to and recognise parents role in the formation of grandchildren. The consent of parents for bride and groom to marriage is an important part of many religious ceremony's as is the belief in god (atheists are prohibited from marriage ceremonies for Jews and Muslims). Michael and Karen Ruskin of Pilgram Planet Lodge in Central Whangarei (pg7 Waikato Times (New Zealand) 2013 May 23) may support making marriage harder and not divorce easier. Can marriage regain an equilibrium after the backlash Ruskins' have had around who sleeps in double and single beds at their lodge.
