She combined positive messages in her songs while still keeping it funky and fresh. To be able to reach out to as many people as she did is a true gift. When was the last time you actually listened to hip hop music that sounded positive? When was the last time a hip hop artist appealed to all races of all ages? Her album came out when I was 13 years old. And I was going through teenage issues. Her album helped me get through those issues. Helped me stay on track. I still listen to her album every day. We need Lauryn Hill. We need her positive music. The world needs to here something positive at this day and age. Everything they have on the radio these days is so distasteful.Lauryn Hill needs to make music she needs to come back. |
