Name: Peter Mason on Aug 21, 2007Comments: Because Lost and the Damned has no miniature range of its own, it is hard for GW to gauge its popularity in terms of sales figures. Many people feel as I do that the list better represents the forces of chaos as they appear in the background than an entirely chaos space marine force. While there is nothing stopping people building a LatD army for home play, the inability to play in most tournaments or store games will discourage many players from doing so.Flag

Name: Nathan Wright on Aug 21, 2007Comments: I've had this Codex for about 4 years and just now when I'm starting to build an army they bin it. Pleeeeeaaaaaaaase just give us even a White Dwarf list. Using the guard list to represent Lost and the Damned just feels dirty and doesn't represent the different troop types nearly as well.Flag

Name: Gian-Reto Alig on Aug 21, 2007Comments: To Hell with CSM! Bring back LATD, they are the real mainstay of all Chaos Forces, the most important Bad Guy Faction ok 40k. Without them, my Witch Hunters don't really know why they exists... meaning any future LATD Book also should give any Imperial Rebel or chaos Cultist Players the support they need to "legally" Field an army. Chaos is not only about CSM and Demons. This Book should reflect this and bring back all the myriads of cool traitorous stuff from way back before 3rd edition.Flag

I know I can still use it with friends and all, but if the army is not supported anymore, I can,t even take it an play it in local tournaments and store. It will be a spit in the face to many players to not release at least a simple FAQ / Adaptation to go with the new Chaos SM codexFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2007Comments: I am a longtime player and a huge fan of 40K. LatD is by far my favorite army. Over the years I've pumped at least $1,000 into building my horde of mutants, demons, traitor guard, tanks and assorted gribblies. Among these are my favorite, most ambitious, and weirdest conversions. I want to keep playing the army in tournaments, of course. I also want to keep building and expanding it. Please, please, GW, restore/revive this army!Flag

Name: Dave Fowler on Aug 21, 2007Comments: I seem to recall when GW made the move to the newest edition, and came forward with new codexes the MO was "don't worry - all your modles will still be valid in the codexes" - Not so apparently. An updated WD list would be fantastic - I could go back and continue painting the 100+ models sitting on my shelf that got put on hold once I feared LatD were being sucked into the Warp...On another note - LatD are a PERFECT army to use in Armegeddon battles - endless tides of choas scum...Flag

Name: Supremearchmarshal on Aug 21, 2007Comments: An updated LatD list would enable people to see more fantastically converted armies in GW tournaments and certainly wouldn't harm GW sales. Also people have spent their time and money to match the high modelling demands this army list requires and it would be unfair to make their work go to waste. Please continue to support the Lost and the DamnedFlag

Name: Michael Radeke on Aug 21, 2007Comments: The Lost and the Damned make up at least 90% of Chaos, with Chaos space marines being a small fraction of the rest. Recognizing this, many players have spent hundreds of hours and hundreds of dollars converting models to be able to play this list (in my case, you can change that to thousands of dollars/hours). Please don't discontinue this army!!! A new stand-alone codex is probably not in the cards. Perhaps a White Dwarf article/codex is even too much to ask for. But an electronic faq dealing with the armoury and whether to use the LatD entry or the new Chaos entry for daemons, spawn, etc. would be sufficient to let the list continue to be played and enjoyed by everyone. This would involve minimal effort and minimal cost while benefiting your loyal customers. This list has been the basis for more amazing conversions than any other army except perhaps Orks. Please reward your customer's loyalty and creativity rather than squash it. As a "converter", I can promise that most conversions easily cost two or three times more than a "box set" of figures. While it may be hard to quantify this revenue, it exists and is significant. Moreover, when other 40k players are confronted with a totally converted army, their passion and interest in the game goes up significantly. Everything that reinforces creativity and involves spending more money on this game is a very positive thing that should be rewarded. Thank you in advance, Michael RadekeFlag

Name: Anonymous on Aug 21, 2007Comments: The Lost and the Damned are a great, fluffy list, and this army has featured some of the best conversion work I've seen. It's a mistake to kill an army with such great potential for modeling and inventive playing. Plus, it's a mostly non-3+ save army, which 40K needs more of, not less.Flag

There are no less than 6 people who have LaTD lists at our local store in Murfreesboro, TN. I know GW has the right to do what they want with their property, but I would appreciate them giving people who have spent big money converting a non cookie-cutter army that's fun to play against. Come on, GW, you know we love you...Flag

Name: Vicktor Öhlund on Aug 21, 2007Comments: LatD is a army that i really would like to see supported. I have planned on getting one, but when there aren't any rules to play them with i see little reason since i would like to be able to bring them to tournies. Besides, LatD should be the most common form of chaos. I like the idea of gibbering hordes of mutants, spawns, chaos hounds etc raging across the board while they have some looted imperials backing them up. Model wise you only need to release a mutation sprue (other than the existing one) for the mutants (or even a mutant-box), and maby some big mutants. But otherwise all other models are existant and what they really need is a codex.Flag
