We, the eighth graders of Hopewell Middle School, believe that Mustang Day should not be on the last day of school. We believe that it should be on Thursday, May 22. The 6th grade and 7th grade Mustang Days should be pushed back a day as well. Our 8th grade ceremony should be on the last day of school, Friday, May 23, in the morning (for example, 10-12). This is how it has been for the previous years, and kids enjoy it.
We believe this because some people may not attend the last day of school, and some kids do not enjoy Mustang Day. On the last day of middle school, we want to hang out with friends, sign yearbooks, and watch movies. Most of us do not want to be hot and sweaty on the last day. Thank you for your consideration.
