La Basilique Saint-Patrick est actuellement en train de vendre une partie de son terrain à l’HEC. Cette vente inclurait le stationnement, ainsi qu'une partie de l'espace vert où autrefois se trouvait le refuge de St-Briget. Bien que nous ne nous opposons pas à la construction d'un édifice par l’HEC sur la partie du terrain élevé comprenant le stationnement, nous sommes unis dans l'objectif de préserver l'espace vert et les fondations du refuge de St-Bridget. Par cette pétition, nous demandons qu'aucun édifice permanent soit érigé sur ce terrain que nous considérons sacré, historique et précieux pour l'environnement.

St. Patrick’s Basilica is currently in the process of selling part of its land to HEC. This sale would include the parking lot plus part of the greenspace where St. Bridget’s Refuge once stood. While we do not object to the construction of a building by HEC on the elevated parking lot, we are defiantly united in the goal of preserving the greenspace and the remaining foundation of St. Bridget’s Refuge. By way of this petition we ask that no building and/or permanent structure be erected on this land which we consider to be sacred, historic, and environmentally precious.
