We are petitioning for all landlords to allow pets into the houses they are renting out. We all know rescues are inundated with unwanted pets, about 50% of them will be because landlords will not allow them to move in with their existing family. Some of these pets will have already been in rescue before and most pets that have been returned to a rescue will be euthanised because a home cannot be found for them. It is a catch 22 situation - people can't take their pets but rescues are inundated with other pets so rescues have to take in a mixture of strays/ferals and pets that owners have had to give up. 75% of people looking to go into rented accommodation are pet owners. Rescues cannot take in any more pets now because a lot of them cannot afford it financially and do not have space, so please sign this petition to encourage landlords to accept pets into their rented houses.
