CAMPAIGN FOR AN INDEPENDENT LAMBS CONDUIT STREET

We, the undersigned express our deep concern at the opening of Starbucks at number 70 Lamb Conduit Street.

Lambs Conduit Street is known and loved for this independent retailers. The retailers are the focus for the street’s character and community spirit, both which are unique in London, and are its prime selling points of residents and visitors alike.

The opening of Starbucks marks a radical and worrying change in the street’s make-up, and concerns residents, retail tenants and visitors to the street.

We believe that the independence of Lambs Conduit Street is key to its attraction. We petition the landlords to develop a coherent policy for the street, which preserves its fully independent status and unique character.
