Comments: I think this is, so far, the best and viable solution that can deal with the long term growth for the LASD

Comments: Egan Camp site asset must be used for single highest and best use for LASD. Moving BCS to Bullis allows for the district to open a school that accomodates growth and reduces census at Santa Rita and Almond. With appropriate allocation of educational resources this is a win-win solution for all.

Comments: Additionally, the VTA goals of optimization and deficit reductions, are going to remove bus transportation for Foothill College students living near Grant Rd, and Miramonte. Please keep this in mind as Los Altos City Council elections are coming up, or contact David Casas directly.

Comments: I hae to agree that this meets the need more effectively. While I am open to many of the scenarios in some fashion, how can I request larger neighborhood involvement for my kids' school without supporting this petitiion and its well intended demand.

Comments: This is the one idea that makes the most sense for the long term future of our district as a whole. There is the prospect here to methodically and carefully plan: 1) to build our district to accomodate increased populations in the areas where needed most, and 2) to eventually incorporate the Bullis Charter School back into the district. Please look to the future so that we don't have to patchwork our schools every few years.

Comments: While some of the recent solutions, esp. V, the original 2 and L+ are acceptable to me personally and are the best of the bunch on the table, I feel that the above solution is the best and most fair for everyone in the district and I feel it should be explored.

Comments: All LASD Children should be able to attend NEIGHBORHOOD schools!!!! If the "neiborhood" schools are overcrowded, then another school should be added!!!

Comments: The sensible thing to do is build a K-5 campus where is most needed - Northern side of the LASD district. Be it moving BCS to B-P campus or identify new K-5 school site. The board should not make haste decision, they should take the time to thoroughly study all options to come up with a truly long term solutions. The board as well as city officials from all three cities should create a committee to study the best way to address the growth of student body in the next 5 - 10 years.

Comments: As a Covington parent whose youngest child will enter kindergarten in 2012, I believe that we need to think outside the box and come up with a creative, long term solution that addresses the district's growth and places schools where we need them.

Comments: It only makes sense to put Bullis Charter School at the Bullis Purissima site. They are an established school with a growing attendance and need a permanent site. To bypass them and give the site to a not-yet-established school is just plain silly.

Comments: I fully support this petition and would recommend that the Board pursue buying or leasing the 12-acre Sears site to build a new elementary school so that the Egan playing fields can eventually be restored.
