Marcello Cimini | Please don't destroy nature any further, we've done enough damage.

Anonymous | Waterfront parkland must take priority over parking or private areas and alternatives must be explored and made available at other sites.

Olena Jemetz | I live in an apartment buliding, and have a two year old daughter. the grounds here are not a good play place, just a big lawn where people don't usually pick up after their dogs. One of the joys, though, of living here is that we are steps to the lake - my daughter and I have gone on many walks on the beach, and to think that a parking lot is the best idea that they can come up with is ridiculous. Have we forgotten that the TTC is an option too? All one would need to do is get off the streetcar, and cross the bridge. Let's not forget that this would also deter drinking and driving. Come on, there are other solutions than a parking lot.

Matt Connell | With little land left down town I don't think a parking lot is a necessity. Tree's are more attractive!!

Dick van Dyke | Hey Olena, so a park deters drinking and driving eh? How so a nice place to sleep???Keep the park for the simple fact it is prettier than having to look at oil stained concrete.
Marty Collier | Solution for Palais Royale parking is simple: take a lane away from eastbound traffic whenever needed. Provide north/south bike lane accesss. PR provides shuttle service from subway. Toll Gardiner and Lakeshore to pay for sustainable transportation improvements and increase use of other modes. Think outside the usual transportation planning, engineering and political box!

Irene Willis | We do NOT need another parking lot on our waterfront! If the Palais Royale were in Kew Beach, the guests would be required to walk from wherever they find parking. There is a lot just west of the venue... no reason that can't be cordoned off for the Palais' use for special functions. Other cars can park in the same places people do during Caribana or any other waterfront event!
George Willis | The grassland median belongs to the geese! The waterfront grassland belongs to the residents of Parkdale. NO more parking lots on our waterfront, please!
Matthew Willis | No parking lot!
Monique Willis | No parking lot!
Roger Brook | Instead of privatizing what little waterfront we have left in Parkdale-High Park, we should be getting what the downtown & the eastside are getting. Stop the 135 space median parking lot and ask Councillor Watson to consider public as well as private interests.
Vicky Brook | We need Parkdale to strive and prosper, not go downhill as a result of Sylvia's plans.

Karen Sauer | Don't cover the parkland!

pete Vanstone |
Claudia & Ed Bozzo | more green and less concrete
Gordon Koch |
Jorge figueiredo | Absolutely ridiculous. Not only will there be less greenspace, there will be far more accidents along this stretch.
Anonymous | Because it is wrong.

Robin Hercia |
Lindsay Crawford | We need all the green space we can get. PLease leave the park
Adam Brylowski |
Andrew Farncombe | Parkdale (and Toronto) needs its precious parkland preserved. You nibble away at it and it is gone for good. Please let's keep our options open for the future, and remain committed to transit.

anonymous | I wish someone would have made a petition to stop the reno of the Palais. They destroyed all the historic elements of the building and now they want to try and do the same to the waterfront. Unfortunately I no longer am a resident of TO. Just a suggestion but you should open your petitions up to non-toronto residents. Do you realize how many of us are upset with the changes that are occuring to the Waterfront. Soon all of us who travel the Gardiner and Lakeshore daily will be looking at Condo's and Hotels.
