Comments: Bike lane the road and the bikers will follow. The bike riders will be safer and will leave their cars at home thereby reducing congestion ultimately.

Comments: I am a regular cycling of Lakeshore road and believe that closure of this heavily used route would send out a very poor message about burlingtons attitudes to cycling, health, sharing roads and will ultimately impact on the quality of life for its residents

Comments: I don't ride along Lakeshore because it ifeels unsafe with the narrow lanes and cars not giving way to a cyclist. Bike lanes will always open up a way for cyclists to get around safely and are always valuable in the community.

Comments: I live in Oakville, and regularly ride with fellow cyclists via Lakeshore to Hamilton. It is an important East West link for cyclists. I regularly see bike clubs coming from Toronto using this route.

Comments: I avoid Lakeshore because there is no safe route for cyclists. As this is a main commuter route east\west there certainly should be bike lanes. Other cities like Calgary and Guelph have long ago seen the benefit of providing bike lanes on major routes.

Comments: I have cycled along the Lakeshore myself and one of the issues that keeps from doing so more often is the fact that Lakeshore is quite busy and lacks a bike lane. A bike lane would be an excellent addition to this otherwise great cycling route.

Comments: please build bike lanes on Lakshore Rd. in Burlington. I am an avid cyclist and must avoid that road currently, because it is dangerous to cycle on without the proper cycling infrastructure in place.
