Comments: We need to keep our cycle lanes and to add more to the network to make our roads safer for cyclists of all ages. Encourage participation in outdoor activities, not discourage!

Comments: I use the Lake Rd cycle lane nearly every day. The stretches where the cycle lane exists is much safer as it shows the traffic how much space to give me. I was recently hit by a bus at Hauraki corner before the cycle lane starts, which came so far to the left I was squashed between it and the gutter.

Comments: My family of seven would use the lake road cycleway more if it were complete! To remove it would be a disservice to the silent majority

Comments: Some people should leave there cars at home and get on a bike. As Shoal Bay is now toxic it could be reclaimed and a Motorway to Esmond road construced to keep them moving

Comments: The rip the cycle lanes out group, have forgotten the situation pre cycle lanes - just as much congestion and more road rage as the cars jostled for the single lane outside TGS, cutting up the car next to them to try and get round the parked cars. Do they seriously want to expand Lake Road to a four lane highway

Comments: getting rid of the cycle lanes, what a bunch of neanderthal people out there. These are used daily,to and from the ferry,to work around the shore etc. They DONT impede traffic whatsoever, contrary to what those neanderthals are saying, leave the 1.5 metres of road alone and spend our taxpaying $ better elswhere
