Comments: Ok, I have some more suggestion for Lake LosAngeles, MAYOR, please restore the Beautiful Lake, because Lake Los Angeles is not Lake Los Angeles unless it has a lake....the community is not living up to it's name. Also a park that has a really nice golf course, and park with a waterslide, swimming, Amusement Park and a Indian Theme Greek Theater for concerts in the park....with Hot air Baloon Rides, Horse Rides trail, Artificial Snow Mountain, lots of parking, Josha Trees, Beautiful High School, and Middle School, Affortable housing , Build some New Some Homes. Offer remodeling incentive for older home owners, Landscaping incentives, and a brand new Modern Market w/ good freezers, Donut shops, Taco Bell, Barbeque Restruants, Black Angus, Loster House....there is enough land out there to do all of this...Do all of this and you will see a no longer negelected slowely rundown community..We love our area and don't want to leave.

Comments: I would like to see more economic growth (through retail, industrial and residential development) start to move east from the more populated Palmdale/Lancaster areas. I believe Lake Los Angeles can become a vibrant community in the Antelope Valley. More and more people from the southland are considering purchasing homes in the AV. A major draw for many of these people will be location and availability of retail and commercial businesses. Convenience in our fast-paced society is a major factor. Thank you.

Comments: I'd love to see a little more growth here.. it's needed. At least one decent supermarket or retail outlet so we don't have to drive all the way to Palmdale.

Comments: I hope something good comes of this petition... Lake LA has a lot of potential and I think with smart planning, we can stimulate economic growth here without losing the rural aspect of the town. I think incorporating the town as its own city would be a smart move, since we wouldn't be dependent on the county to make decisions. They move too slowly to get stuff done, and let's face it, this part of the county is not a top priority for them at all.

Comments: Suggestions: Promote the intersection at 170th and O as a place of business and entertainment. It'd be a great place for a bank or credit union, for example. I think a drugstore and a small movie theater could be good too. Having a local bank might also help encourage people to start their own businesses here (since they could get loans locally). A small hospital or clinic is also something this town could use. There definitely needs to be more for people to do here, especially younger people. It would be a good idea to find out what they're interested in. Maybe a skate park or some kind of art center (the kids constantly tagging peoples' walls probably have some unmet artistic interests). As it stands right now, people end up going to Lancaster or Palmdale and spending their time and money there. Since Lake LA doesn't have too much in the way of industry or agriculture, I think a good way for the town to develop would be as a tourist town. (Which I think it was originally marketed as, anyway). By that, I mean it'd be good to have things like a farmer's market, crafts fair, or some kind of specific festival that might attract out-of-town visitors (who might spend their money here and help local business). A water park could be cool as well, especially in conjunction with a refilled lake. Keep sprawl to a minimum. Lake LA already covers a fairly large amount of land, but there are a lot of empty spaces within the town. If anything gets built, build it in those spaces. Don't end up like Lancaster/Palmdale, which are way too spread out and still have empty space inside their city limits.
