As soon as Coach Parris came into the Lady Rebels' basketball program, she started to get rid of key players. She also got rid of veteran players and added younger players as well as transfers. She basically began to create two junior varsity teams. She always threatens that she doesn't care about her job because she has other college offers that are currently on the table, and makes cocky comments such as " I'll bet you my whole pay check they won't get rid of me!" At times she tries to manipulate the girls and turn them against one another. She gets upset when players talk to their parents about practice or problems that happened during basketball. Whenever a player gets injured, Coach Parris encourages the players not go to the doctor or visit the athletic trainers. She talks about issues that she has with certian players infront of the whole team or behind that player's back. She has a problem with athletes playing more than one sport, and she thinks the girls should only focus on basketball. The girls are required to put in so much worth ethic, but no results or rewards are shown in return. She belittles the team, and brings down the girls' confidience level. The girls used to be a family net team and were still able to win games. Before Coach Parris joined the program, they had a 22-2 record, but last season they went 5-17. If you look into the light, you will see that Coach Parris just isn't right.
