This is in protest of a reported $10,000 fine leveled against Jacob Lacey, a rookie with the Indianapolis Colts, by the NFL for sliding to the ground in celebration. It was Mr Lacey's first NFL touchdown and if anything it was very understated compared to most celebrations occurring today. For those who haven't seen the baseball slide Jacob did at the end of his touchdown run, it can be seen at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1NeHSRjerg at around the 2:40 minute mark. If you are signing this petition you are asking the commissioner to revoke the fine (if it is as reported), and review the rule. This petition is not saying that any celebration is all right - taunting or other behavior that leads to danger of fighting or injury should not be allowed.
