   Comments: We were sold the mobile home by Siblu for an opening time of 10 months of the year. My family would like the choice to be able to visit la Carabasse anytime throughout that period of time.

   Comments: I love La Carabasse, but the opening times are a farce and I am NOT happy with them. We were sold the home on the basis of 10 months ACCESS per year between February and November. This has not been the case and this year we get 5 months only for the same site fee. It is unacceptable.

   Comments: we bought our mobile on the understanding that the site was open from first weekend in february to the first weekend in november and this the time we paid our yearly site fees for. now we are being told that we can only use the site from april 15th to september 15th and now we have to pay on increased site fee for a much shorter time. either we want to use the site for 10 months or we want to pay a great deal less in site fees......

   Comments: I have just returned from La Carabasse today, this morning there was an "owners" breakfast meeting which I would have to say was a farce as there was a queue outside the door to try to get a cup of coffee and a croissant. The staff which I'm led to beleive were the new animation team had no idea how to provide coffee for probably 40 + owners. when most had left the lead staff member gave a short speech in French (almost inaudible) and an even less in english. There were no management there to discuss matters with which I saw an ideal oportunity. Regarding the Park opening times, I like others are furious that when sold my mobile it was on the understanding the park would be open for 10 months of the year and this has not been the case for 2 years now! I trust this will be resolved sooner than later and we will be compensated with our lost letting revenue.

   Comments: We bought the mobile with 10 months access. We are willing to compromise and accept the 8 month period from 1st March to 31st October. Any less makes La Carabasse look like a poor relation to the other Siblu parks.

    Comments: We purchased our mobile home in June 2006 and were advised opening useage dates Beginning March until end of October. The Salesman seems to have in polite words told us "Porkies" or bluntly put "Lied" we are school holiday restricted and those date are why we purchased it or have lied

    Comments: We have been more than patient and diplomatic with Siblu regarding the issue of reinstating the opening times at La Carabasse.We as many other owners feel totally betrayed by the sales and management team having purchased our mobile home on the understanding that we would be using it 10 months of the year, not 5! As the current opening dates stand, we are now unable to stay there for the school holidays at Easter and October, plus many other holidays we had planned .Not only have we incurred great expense and inconvenience making alternative arrangements for holidays, but so have many of our family and friends.The basic fact is we should be staying in our mobile which we bought for that reason and for which we pay site fees .The only people who are inconvenienced in this situation are the owners as Siblu are still charging full fees, without the added cost of Staff, electric and water for the extra five months.

    Comments: we also bought the mobile on the understanding the park was open 10 months so we could use the site out of season , which included most of the english holidays, on our first season we had our first week 7th feb our last week was bonfire time total visits in the season approx 10 weeks last year we had only 10 days.i think a compensation pakage for all our inconveniance and added costs or seek legal advice as a group .

    Comments: We are the onliest german owner on the park and bought a Mobilhome for using from march to the end of october. Now only in the summer holidays we can use it. In eastern and autumn holidays it is impossible to use the MH. Why can other parcs in Vias extend their opening times Please open Carabasse longer; we don;t understand the long way from the präfecture.

    Comments: Siblu have acted in a cowboy manor in the dealing with owners over the openings. 10 months opening promised when we were purchasing our mobile. Ground rent paid to cover that period and every year since (5 years). I like La Carabasse but Siblu needs to rethink how it deals with owners and fully explain and produce documents about its dealing concerning flood plain etc.

    Comments: My husband an I bought our home from Tom Reneuf in October 2006. He assured us of 10 months usage. We are paying 6 thousand rental fees for what a couple of weeks in the summmer when the children are off school. It would be cheaper to stay in a 5star hotel. I don't trust anything Siblu say MA17

    Comments: What can we say. In the past, we have always paid tribute to Haven and, subsequently, 'siblu' on the excellence of the park and amenities. As for the opening/closing dates, we also, were told that winter skiing would be an option should we purchase at la carabasse. We are far from sure that the current dates will ever change. Unlike most of you, we are not too perturbed. We are not in France for either the Easter or Micklemas half terms. Sorry if that sounds selfish. But, we are always at the van of letting 'siblu' management know of our (collective) displeasure.

    Comments: When we were sold our mobile home I questioned the opening dates and I was told that the campsite was opened for 10 months. This was even written into my receipt. 3 days after I paid the deposit for my mobile home there was a flood in the campsite which I was not told about. If I had been told about this I would have pulled out of the deal.

    Comments: We were also told when we purchased in 2004 that as owners we could stay at La C. anytime between 15th February and 15th November although we could only let during the season which was 15th April - 15th September

    Comments: As far as we are concerned we were misold our mobile home in relation to park opening times. We are hugely disappointed that we cannot use our mobile home at Easter or in the October school holidays. As a result after this season 2008 we will have to sell with no doubt at a huge financial loss to ourselves and follow our dream of owning property abroad which we can access all year round. We feel we have been conned by Siblu and now they have had our money they do not care. It is an outrage.

    Comments: We signed up to an annual 10-month way of live which would greatly enhance our family’s lifestyle. The restricted opening date reduces the availability of this lifestyle by 50% and does not now cover two of the main family holiday times e.g.: - Easter & Halloween for which we now have to make alternative holiday arrangements at a greater expense to ourselves. This was not the concept sold to us and had we been aware of this, we would not have invested in the La Carabasse and Haven/Siblu The new opening dates are at variance to the original concept sold to us by Haven/Siblu and a concept which we have significantly invested into. Before we took the decision to invest approx 50,000 Euro with Siblu, the opening times stated in your contract suited our family way of life. We could avail of spending time in our mobile home at anytime it suited us throughout the year, opening up holiday opportunities. What we were sold February: - School Mid – Term break, Irish rugby teams playing in competitions in the South West of France. A chance to Ski, a 2-3 hour drive to the snow at Andorra was also an option that we could avail of. March: - St Patrick’s day school holidays, During school time parents could take long week-end trips for Rugby, Golf or catch up on the sun while you prepare your mobile for the coming summer. April: - Easter Holidays 2 week school break and long week-ends May – June: - Long-stay out of season holiday breaks for our parents July – August; - Family summer holidays and rental income opportunity September - November: - Halloween School holidays, Golfing breaks and long week –ends “ Were we misled / mis-sold when we signed up for our mobile home.

    Comments: We bought our holiday home in October 2005 specifically to be there from February to November, mainly for health reasons. We have never been able to be there for that time. The purchase was made with Gwyn's pension payment, so we now feel financially cheated in our retirement. We could compromise with 1st March to 30th October but nothing less. If the current situation remains then maybe all Siblu sites should be the same Apologies to other owners for that but we live in an equal opportunites age.

    Comments: Reading all these comments on the petition, there is a clear case for legal action against Siblu for breach of contract. It is clear nothing will be offered by Siblu until forced to do so. Further discussion is pointless. I will contribute to the appointment of a lawyer and raising publicity of the issue. This is the way forward. For the record, we too were sold the mobile home on the basis of a 10 month opening period and am prepared to state this on oath.
