I am ashamed to be a paying member of an institution that supports racism and biggotry by having someone like Mnunchin on the museums board. I will remove my membership and support of MOCA if he is not taken off the board.

MOCA, Stand with your artists, the power and openess of art, and the diverse American public you serve as a public and contemporary art institution. Anyone who stands near, alongside or with Trump's bigotry, hatred and dangerous policies has no place on your board!

And to raise admission to attract rich tourists is COMPLICIT and contradicts any sort of "radical" "libratory" programming you cannot stand with queers POC or marginalized people with a white nationalist trustee

Hiring a single Black assistant curator after 7 years of Obama and keeping this cretin on your board tells us exactly what MOCA thinks of its artists and audiences of color.

Art matters -- it helps to shape what we are able to imagine, especially in our approaches to difference and solidarity. White supremacy and other forms of bigotry have no place in the cultural institutions of a city (and a country, and a world) so thoroughly and vibrantly multiple in its people, languages, cultures, nationalities, and practices.
