We the citizens of Kentucky and the United States of America petition to legalize, tax, and regulate cannabis. We do so on the basis that cannabis was made illegal through lobbyist and racism. The war on drugs continues to hurt and limit the success of millions of Americans because they smoke the most popular drug in the world. We also petition for cannabis to be legalized because the constition guarantees the people to the right to ingest any chemical. We the people petition for cannabis to be legalized because cannabis can also be used for rope, clothing, and fiberglass type of materials that are comparable to steel. The seed of cannabis can be used for oil and is a great source of nutrients. Cannabis can also be used to create paper and fuels. With all the positive points, one cannot dispute the reasoning for legal cannabis. One cannot dispute the completely unethical and unAmerican way inwhich cannabis was made illegal. So, it is that we the people order the State of Kentucky to immediately legalize cannabis. We also urge the representatives to carry this initiative to the federal level.
