Library elf is a fantastic resource for notifications regarding library material. One account can be set up for multiple card holders (great for a family with children) and multiple libraries. Library elf notifies individuals via e-mail when they have materials due, late, or on hold. It saves the family tons of money while ensuring that materials can remain available to other library patrons in a timely matter. People are more willing to check out materials if they are not worried about due dates and have reminders via e-mail. Library Elf has been free for the last few years, but increased costs have required them to start charging individuals a fee of $20 USD/year. However, a library can subscribe to their service and ALL OF THEIR PATRONS will receive library elf premium for FREE. Sign this petition so that we can get our Kitchener, Waterloo, and Region of Waterloo libraries on board!!!!
The feedback from local families about overdue fines is eye-opening. We are working on getting the right people at the library board to listen to this proposal.

This would be so helpful for our family. Keeping track of all our books is a nightmare especially with the kids having their own cards too.

Ridiculous to pay 20 bucks when the library could just cover it for everyone. Get with the times KPL!!!
