Name: Dayana on Feb 22, 2012Comments: the raeson for education is to train people to work in jobs. It's a position that socializes the cost of training future workers and allows corporations to profit from those years of job training by hiring them. Whether you agree with that stance or not, it is a position that No Labels has taken. we should push for three key election reforms: open primaries, non-partisan redistricting and campaign finance. Hello: positions that are policy proposals! The Deep Dive on international trade to which I linked is a position paper that takes a stand against trade protections for American workers, that embraces the positions of the WTO, and that disparages trade standards based on conditions of production in producing countries (such as sweatshops). These are stances that benefit corporations engaged in international trade who don't want to have to worry about whether their subcontractor factories are employing prisoners or children or poisoning or underpaying workers. Whether you take the quality of these positions for granted or not, they are clearly positions, and No Labels is clearly advocating for them. The Deep Dive on the federal deficit is an infomercial for Pete Peterson's social security privatization drive, which is a position that would benefit corporate money managers considerably. It includes phrases like any honest long-term fix will require a negotiated series of compromises on both spending and taxes No Labels taking a position again, setting the boundaries for real solutions debates that are favorable to certain points of view and not to others. What No Labels says is not true: one honest long-term fix is to raise taxes back to what they were during the booming 1950s and 1960s. But that position is off the table for No Labels.Jason, you just can't keep saying No Labels takes no positions when I'm showing you in verbatim text No Labels very clearly taking positions. Well, OK, you can, but I don't think you can keep saying it with a straight face. If the DC No Labels HQ is telling you they're not taking positions, then they're not telling you the truth and I would suggest you need to confront them about that, especially since they aren't talking to me.Flag

Name: Tara on Feb 22, 2012Comments: Keith: I'm not enrtiely sure how to respond to statements like yours. On the one hand, yes, everyone should be behind this movement. On the other hand, this petition is not exclusionary. There are no statements saying men! Don't sign this! , only statements saying, women who have had abortions! Sign this! It doesn't say you have to be a woman. In fact, the places women are mentioned specifically are abortion-related; and while you are a feminist sympathiser and a good guy, you yourself will never have an abortion. In fact, the petition itself has an option which suits you perfectly: I have not had an abortion but I stand with my sisters and would like to make a contribution. I think you are overly sensitive to being excluded because of your past experiences (I suffer from similar issues myself, so I am not angry or blaming you at all!). I don't mean to dismiss you, just to say that maybe you should read the petition a bit more closely. If you still feel you're being kicked out, please cite specific wording in the petition to help me see where you're coming from.Flag

Tampering with any peice of some sort of evil is wrong.. whether you think its crap or not. why would you even let me try?.. i agree with what others have said that greed for money is so great some would put childrens futures at stake just so they can sit in a mountain of riches and that makes me sick to my stomach.. how money has consumed this world.. along with greed. i petition for these Ouija boards at any stores to be banned including gas stations. Name: Sana on Jun 4, 2012Comments: Please sir, I wish no disrespect to your rgiielous beliefs.Congressman Paul has a specific set of stances on moralities , such as Right To Life that many, if not argualbly all of our founding fathers, would share.I myself do not hold such beliefs, but do incist on your right to have them in voice & in voting power .Please hold relevant focus on the issues @ hand:1 endless wars of profiteering, 2 the manipulation of the economy by the fed.,no longer an autonimus tool free of outside lobbying interest but a tool of the global banker corp.3 The last thing i would implore you to think about is our expanding ring of global medeling. The Founding Fathers clearly stated that we should be friends with our global partners & intracantly linked by policy to none,There is no god given right to exist. There is a right to exist by cooperating with your neighbors, & acting as a steward of liberty. We hate no man.All are entighteled to Liberty, justice & the pursuit of Happiness.Pleas vote Ron Paul for president 2012.Flag

Name: Abdou on Jun 4, 2012Comments: I am a NH vote for Paul this time around. I liked his mesgsae last time but did not take him seriously. I wanted a middle of the road guy like McCain to defeat Obama. I liked McCain but he ruined himself choicing Palin. Hopefully with more name recognition Paul will have a decent shot, and please pick a viable VP. The only way Paul does not get my vote is if Pat Buchanan runs which is a long shot. He should have won in 2000 after defeating Bush in NH. Remember South Carolina!Flag

Name: Facundo on Jun 6, 2012Comments: Thanks for the feedback. I have noicted the same thing. The typical excuse is we are not set up to handle credit card transactions . I have not pushed this beyond first level of support but definitely something to try. Escalating this issue might make a difference or at the very least show the companies that there is a need. Perhaps to a manager level to start with. I will try this myself as well. Surely in 2011, utilities can handle credit card transactions! In my opinion, it is dangerous to allow utility companies (or any other company) to access your bank accounts. They could clean out your bank account (whether it is on purpose or by accident) and you have little recourse. If it is an accident, they may offer an apology and return your money, or it may take legal proceedings to get it back. In either case, you may bounce cheques, default on mortgage payments and have a big mess to clean up on your own.Flag
