To ask the British Government to approach the Queen on behalf of the veterans of the first Gulf War so that they may have Her Majestys approval to wear the medals issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Her Majesty has given other veterans medals to wear issued by a foreign Country namely the PINGAT JASA MALAYSIA medal. We as veterans do not disagree that the veterans of that campaign should not wear that medal they served and deserve to wear that campaign medal. We went to these Countries to defend and liberate them from aggressors. We put our lives on the line for these Countries on behalf of our Queen. A lot of veterans are suffering physical and mental health problems from the war (which is not recognised), but we are still not allowed to wear the medals. I think wearing these medals would be appreciated by the Countries who issued them.
