The influence of Kraftwerk is surpassed by few. They laid the foundation not only for electronic music, but also for the beats in hip hop. In recent years bands as U2 and Coldplay have made covers of Kraftwerk songs. As the publisher, lyricist and manager of ABBA, he played a key role in their enormous success. Robert Moog and Karlheinz Stockhausen got the prize in 2001. Those two laid the foundation for Kraftwerk.
