The president of Knox's Students Against Sexism in Society and co-president of Knox's Student Health Advocacy Group will be meeting with Associate Deans of Students Dr. Dan Larson and Debbie Southern as well as Dean of Students Xavier Romano Wednesday May 27th, in the hopes of implementing an independent support group for Knox students who are victims of sexual assault. According to the Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN), 1 in 6 women and 1 in 33 men will be sexually assaulted in their lifetime and college age women are 4 times more likely to be sexually assaulted.
