As of now State hospitals/organizations/facilities/communities do not feel the need to disclose which of their patients have tested positive for HIV and AIDS, to the Direct Caregivers. Because of this lack of action, this organization is endangering the lives of the individuals whom have taken the time to care for the patients of whom many have forgotten. Over 98 percent of this State facilities "clients" are mentaly disabled with Down syndrom, Altism, Mental Retartdation, etc. Many of which are one on one clients in their homes. This means that they have to be within arms reach at ALL times; times in which the clients attack, scratch, hit, bite, spit in the faces, throw bodily wastes, etc their personal Direct Caregivers. These caregivers are barely making minimum wages to care for these patients. But the state doesn't seem to believe that they have the right to know if their clients have tested positive for said diseases. This petition isnt to cause discrimination against any person with the disease, but to protect the lives and health of all caregivers whom work in State owned and organized "communities" and hospitals. The state wants the clients to have rights, by which as human beings they are entitled to, but as Caregivers they should be given the right to know if their clients/patients have a disease that can be brought home to their children, spouses, parents, etc. Please take the time to sign your name, to pass this cause along. If the states refuse to protect their own employees then they should have a voice loud enough to be heard. The soul purpose of this petition is to force State facilites/organizations to release a diclosure of which patients have be diagnosed positive for HIV and AIDS and to monthly disclose any newly postive resulted tests. Please protect the families of Direct Caregivers, the givers of many.
