Exoneration for the Knights Templar

The petition

The signatories of this petition call upon the Pope and the Catholic Church to officially exonerate the Knights Templar from heresy charges leveled against them after 13 Oct 1307.

We call upon the Vatican to officially recognize that the charges of heresy were unfounded as referred to in the Chinon Parchment. We further ask that the Holy See restore the good name of all persecuted Knights Templar within the Church. It is our wish that the memory of men such as Jacque DeMolay and Geoffrey de Charney be cleared of any wrong doing in relation to the charges of 13 Oct 1307.

This petition will be delivered to the Vatican on 18 March 08, the day Jacque DeMolay and de Charney were burned at the stake.
