Petition in Support of Professor Kirby Malone

The petition

We, the students and alumni of George Mason University, are writing to show our strong support for Professor Kirby Malone. Professor Malone has fostered within all of us a thirst for knowledge, a deep respect for all cultures, an appreciation of the benefits of artistic collaboration, and a sense of fair play. Professor Malone's vast knowledge of visual art, cyberculture, performance art, gender studies, and critical theory, as well as his pioneering contributions to digital theater, make him an essential component of the Department of Art and Visual Technology. His contributions to the InterArts curriculum are especially invaluable, given his exceptional ability to nourish collaboration among a wide range of students and artists from a variety of backgrounds and disciplines.


We take pride in the fairness of our institution's policies, and we urge you to examine Professor Malone's record with an eye toward the inspiration his skill and generosity have nurtured among his students. We respectfully request that Professor Malone's contract be renewed so that he may continue to guide future generations of students at George Mason University to their greatest potential.
