Steven J. Newman | I agree with the other Steven J. Newman (although I believe I am the original ;>) that Klingle Road should be re-opened to serve the residents of the District and not just those of a few certain blocks.

Mary Hathaway Becker | I used this road as a driver and as a walker. Now that it inactive, it is no longer safe to walk on. I value Klingle Road as an important crosstown route. I marvel that in a time of terrorism and alerts, this road ihas not been made available as a possible evacuation route.

Anonymous | If Klingle Road is not reopened as a public road, the city will violate the original bequest from the Klingles and it will revert to their heirs.
Joseph Keyerleber | Yes, fix the road and open it--for the benefit of everyone.

The resulting congestion on Porter Street necessitates a lower light at Conn Ave that slows progress on Connectucut Ave.. Klingle bypasses Connecticut Ave and eases congestion. |
