Comments: Klingle Rd's entry to Rock Creek is a vital roadway for citizens West f the Park like me. Abandoning it and letting it become parkland is ludicrous.

Comments: This road should be rebuilt and reopened. That is what the due process has been on this issue. The land was also given with the understanding it should be a road.

Comments: I can remember driving on Klingle Road many, many years ago. When it was closed, it was to be only temporary. Temporary has become more than 30 years. It's time to put Klingle Rd back on the map!

Comments: Along with the need for east-west routes across the park, and alternateaccess for emergency vehicles to neighborhoods close to each end of Klingle, it's another way for folks to get into Rock Creek Park to enjoy its various facilities. Older and disabled persons must be considered as well. Everyone is not able to rollerblade, bike or jog from their neighborhood into the park.

Comments: I understand Mary Cheh spearheading the effort to keep Klingle Rd. closed since it's in her ward. I'm outraged that Kwame Brown and Marion Barry assisted Ms. Cheh in her effort to keep it from reopening. It's unfortunate that Mr. Brown is running unopposed. I hope Ward 4 will remember this vote when he next runs for re-election. It demonstrates a lack of respect for those who live East of the Park.

Comments: We need more access between E and W of the Park. Our family are hiking, biking Rock Creek Park lovers, but we want that road open. There are lots and lots of paths and roads for biking, but much tougher access across the park. Enough of the delays; let's get going and bridge our city's great divide.

Comments: I never did see any intelligent reason that they closed it in the first place. I just got the impression that "money talked" and the local NIMBY's got their way with their money and influence. But that's the way Washington DC operates, do deny that, tells me that someone hasn't been paying attention.
