Scott RelfBeing a fan since the 70's, and actually seeking out the original film BECAUSE of the group Klaatu, I think it's only fitting they be represented in the new film not only because of the fitting content on their first two albums, but for introducing a whole new generation to a hollywood classic!
MattBring back Klaatu!
Miriam L. Steffen-Roush
Ryan KraemerI heartily agree that the potential audience of this movie would enjoy the connection. I am a fan of the original film and own the DVD. The reason I first saw the movie (around 1982) was because I read about the connection to the band Klaatu and to the cover artwork of Ringo Starr's "Goodnight Vienna" album. There are many fans of the movie who have discovered the music of Klaatu and many fans of the band Klaatu who have discovered the greatness of this classic movie... I am happy to consider myself a fan of both the ground-breaking movie and this ground-breaking band. I think if the producers are not keen on the use of Klaatu's original music that they might also think about hiring Klaatu to produce an original score for this film - it would be great!!

Richard GraceLooking forward to seeing "The Day the Earth Stood Still" in Hobart Tasmania with innovative "Klaatu" the group music..

Toby TobiasI can tell you that this movie would be fantastic with a KLAATU music score and deserving too if done correctly. Perfect music for a great movie. And if you're intellegent enough to understand the cult behind the music, you would only be amplifying the magnitude of your production of this recreation.
Jason T. ReimcheOh yes, please. I can't tell you how much Klaatu's music has added to my appreciation of science and science fiction, especially classic sci-fi. I'd heard "Calling Occupants of Interplanetary Craft" dozens of times before I ever knew the "Carpenters" had covered it, or that it had become the official anthem for World Cnntact Day. "Little Neutrino" fired up my imagination and is among my favorites. It would do them a much-deserved honour to have their music featured in this movie.

Michael WilliamsTo state the obvious... using Klaatu's music would make for an unbelievable soundtrack
Kevin KreutzkampLadies and Gentlemen of FOX for the production of "the Day the Earth Stood Still" Please consider using Klaatu music for your theatrical release of this blockbuster. I know it would definitely have myself, my wife and five children as repeat customers during the initial four week run, and hopefully a run as long as any Star Wars movie or a Lord of the Rings movie. Their songs "Calling Occupants", "Maybe I'll Move to Mars", "Around the Universe in 80 days", "Dog Star", "A Million Miles Away", and basically their entire second album titled "Hope" is space themed as well as the subtitle of their first "3:47 E.S.T." is a homage to the landing time of the alien Klaatu in the 1951 version. This band is inspired by the original, were so good as a band and similar sounding like the Beatles that they were mistaken for the Beatles, as no other band has ever been. Arguably, the Beatles are the world's foremost band, music departments and college studies recognize them as such. For another band believed by many to be the Beatles for about 3 years is amazing and if their sound, while not trying to be a tribute band is that good, it would also reflect well on your soundtrack. Also, as they are not the Beatles and have these songs already written, they maybe open to the possibility for a reunion to remake, reshape, and/or rework these songs to exactly fit the mood and final editing of the movie. As for the Beatles as reunion is impossible here on Earth, and as Klaatu is not the Beatles and are all alive and have had a short reunion about 3 years ago, they can still perform and will not be as costly as hiring Ringo Starr or Paul McCartney, and together they only have about 4 space songs "Venus and Mars" being the foremost that is in any way connected to space, stars, or Sci-Fi. Thank you for your consideration in this matter, Kevin Kreutzkamp
Mary KreutzkampDear executives and producers of the production of “The Day The Earth Stood Still" and associates of 20th Century Fox who are in charge of the music selection of the final film. Many others and I would like you to consider the band Klaatu for the music in your theatrical production of “The Day the Earth Stood Still”. The band Klaatu is a very good selection to make for your music in your new production. Klaatu was inspired by the original movie from 1951. The majority of their music is based on the theme of space or sci-fi. “A Million Miles Away”, “Little Neutrino”, and “Around the Universe in 80 days” are some good examples of space themed music. The two albums “3:47 E.S.T.” (a.k.a Klaatu) and “Hope” are both good examples of albums that you should use in your new production. The band Klaatu has the same quality as the Beatles (when they released their first album they were mistaken for the Beatles). Today, it’s impossible to get the Beatles together but, Klaatu recently had a reunion (about 3 years ago which I attended in Toronto, Canada). Klaatu performs the same as they did when they first performed together as a band. I just recently turned 16, and I grew up my entire life loving the musical stylings of the Beatles, and very soon became a fan of Klaatu. My father and I (and some of my siblings) love things with sci-fi and watching meteor showers. I think that it would be just so awesome if you used some of the songs from the band Klaatu in your new production. I believe many teens around my age will love the new production with some of Klaatu’s music too. I introduced some of my friends to the bank Klaatu and they have come to love it almost as much as I do. I have seen the 1951 version of “The Day the Earth Stood Still” many times and have come to love it. In my opinion Klaatu would be a wonderful asset to the production of your movie. Thank you in advance for your consideration in this suggestion, Mary Kreutzkamp
David"Calling Occupants" would be perfect for the movie. And would many other of Klaatu's songs. It would be stupid to pass something that is right in front of you. And have Klaatu sing it,,not anyone else. Thanks
Richard SaulinoKlaatu: One of the best bands of all times. It would be a shame not to have there music incorporated into the film in some way.
Donald Czaplinsky
Michael DallavalleIt is time that Klaatu get their well deserved and overdue respect. Their debut album and Hope reign as two of the most inovative, creative, and influential alblums of all time. I can not think of a larger complement to both the band and the movie then to include Klaatu's music on the soundtrack.

Emily DaviesLISTEN TO KLAATU AND KNOW THERE IS HOPE.
AnonymousKlaatu's music was brilliant and under-rated primarily because a journalist compared their work to Sgt Pepper and Abbey Road by the Beatles!! Can you imagine - what a compliment and what a statement in itself! When Klaatu announced they were just an anonymous trio of musicians making the music they loved, the media was so embarassed they decided to shun them! How ironic! How tragic! Listen to klaatu and know there is 'Hope'.
meghanThese songs would bring an older audience to the film, and a young audience back to the music of klaatu - perfect timing for these nostalgic sounds and relevant messages to be resurrected and make another impact on this planet...
AnonymousKlaatu's music is a universal language. Let "Hope" guide us all.
Bruce SavageKlaatu os a GREAT band. Their music should be promoted as often as possible.

Philip"Calling Occupants" is a superb song of a quality that undoubtedly surpasses other music that might be chosen for the film. Why not use it instead?
ZeddI think the fine people at Fox productions should certainly think seriously about including the music of Klaatu in the movie about Klaatu. It makes sense and would add to the movie something special.
Caleb MusgraveGo for it eh
