Dee Long | Keanu rocks!
Sydney Easton | It would be really great to get this music on this film somewhere. It seems only right, since this is the movie which inspired the band's name. Also, this music is the most appropriate to use for The Day the Earth Stood Still, in my opinion
Anonymous | yes! consider this music!!!

Ron Manke | If they include Klaatu's music in the movie, in some form or another, then I will be inclined to promote this movie to my friends and relatives!
Mark Bignell | Songs like "Calling Occupants" are a perfect fit for the film. Do it!
Jon Bojicic |
Richard LeBlanc | The use of Klaatu music would definitely influence my desire to see and recommend this film.

David Bradley | Any serious remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still should include the music of the band Klaatu who were inspired by, and named after the main character in the movie. Calling Occupants, Little Neutrino, We're Off You Know, Around The Universe in 80 Days, Hope, etc, are all incredibly relevant to the topic of the film and would make great music over the opening sequences, credits, and as background music in scenes where appropriate. Instead, someone who has the power to decide these things has opted to ignore this treasure trove of music simply because he's not informed enough to know who they are! What a waste of a great opportunity by the film makers. I guess that says a lot about what we can expect from these people. Too bad. It could have been a good movie if informed people were making it.

Mitchell Bray | Tie-ins like this make cult classics. You can sell a lot more DVDs if you hide some easter eggs in the product, and there are a lot of people out there who are interested in and moved by clever, obscure references to the zeitgeist of popular culture. It's a win-win. Make pop music fans happy, make sci fi fans happy, make moviegoers happy, sell more movie tickets and more DVDs...

Larry Tyree | You should take a good look at this - some great material is just sitting there waiting to be leveraged.
Suzi | For sure you should use this band. Their music is great. Get the original creators of the song instead of the others who tried to unsusccessfully remak it.
Anonymous | I VOTE FOR KLAATU to do the soundtrack
Scott Schwarz |
samuel h. smith jr | it seems so of th best sci-fi music ever made comes from the band ,Klaatu,at least a snipet of Calling Occupants should be in the remake.
Cynthia Long | What a great idea! You've got to use their music in your film... Klaatu tunes would make a hit out of any film...
Larry Berg | I sure hope this helps. That'd be great to hear Klaatu on the big screen! Good luck!
Karen Berg | Good luck!
Peter George |
Pete Ortega | Anything to get them some more exposure. I think a lot of people would benefit from hearing their music.
Thornton Davis |
| 33 | Stuart Beaton | This film is an excellent venue for the works of Klaatu. Their music clearly would be reflective (and respective) of the theme. Perhaps a subtle placement of even a snipette of one of their songs on the radio in the background would provide a "in" reference to the observant viewers (and you know, if we are asking for its inclusion, we'll be listening). If not in the film directly, perhaps during the end credits. There's never been a more appropriate venue for their great music.
Cheers! |

Tim Stamps | Please listen to Klaatu's music and consider any of it for inclusion in the movie soundtrack of the new Day The Earth Stood Still.
Jollie Jongma | Yes, please! Let the (rest of the) world meet Klaatu's wonderful music ans lyrics!
JIM HOLLIS | No one and no song deserves this honor more than Klaatu and "calling Occupants." I have been a "Klaatusian" since 1976 and I ain't about to change now! LONG LIVE POLITZANIA!
Bill Harran | Klaatu's incredible music would make an awesome addition to this soundtrack!!!
Randi Chikofsky | Go for it.

Mark Pasierb |
David Richards | Please include Klaatu's music! It's a natural fit. If you don't, the thousands of Klaatu and Carpenters fans will wonder why! Plus, Klaatu is Canadian, and the film is being shot in Canada. It's perfect, and what a great way to showcase Canada, too!
Melissa Fuller | Klaatu music in a remake of "The Day the Earth Stood Still"? Duh!!! The inclusion of this classic music in the movie seems like a no-brainer.
David B. Levenstam | Klaatu created some of the greatest science fiction rock music. It would be fitting to use that music in a remake of the film that inspired the music and from which the group itself took its name.
