Comments: Hotep! I think this is a well deserved honor, because we need to make that connection, so that we can know our true identity. Also, it is important that we go back and claim our land and our rightful place. Thank you, Brother for your hard work. Peace & Blessing, Sister, Janette Herrera

Comments: For most African Americans our family history stops with slavery. Dr.Kittels has enriched so many of our lives by connecting us with our ancestral groups through his development of DNA testing for persons of African descent.

Comments: Though I have not yet benefitted personally yet by taking advantage of the research that Dr. Kittles has done, it has been my plan for some time. So many of us of African-American descent, however, are encouraged by his research, and it is just groundbreaking. Mnay of us who are intrigued by our family history have been thwarted in our attempts to research that history by the brick wall of slavery. Dr. Kittles' research has made our efforts so much more attainable. He is deserving of this recognition, and it is my hope and prayer that he is honored by the Nobel Committee. He is due, and it is in your power to grant.
