Name: Patrick Baker on Feb 8, 2008Comments: The Kingsholm Post Office is often busy and is badly need by local residents, especially those unable to walk all the way into town. The central post office is often packed with long queues out onto The Oxbode and closing this branch will only make matters worse. If more sub-post offices are closed there will need to be an expansion of Gloucester Central P.O. to cope with the extra demand - and it will still be less convenient.Flag

Name: Nina Hargrave on Feb 10, 2008Comments: This will cause me personal inconvenience but I am more concerned about the elderly and other vulnerable people in Kingsholm. For example my elderly Mother can just reach Kingsholm Post Office on foot, she doesn't drive. Many people with learning difficulties and mental health needs would find King's Square very intimidating.Flag

Name: MR & MRS R BENTLEY on Feb 11, 2008Comments: Our Post Office has been a valuable asset to the community for so many years, if this is taken away the community will suffer. The Kings Square branch is overcrowded and never any less than a twenty minute queue. We would be overjoyed to stay as we are with the friendly service we have known through twenty four years of living here!Flag

Name: Graham Lundegaard on Feb 12, 2008Comments: This an invaluable post office that serves a large local community. The nearest alternative post office is the central post office in King's Square Gloucester. This post office is already over subscribed and there are usually long cues at the counters. Those without a car would have to walk more than half a mile to reach it and would have great difficulty carrying a parcel to be posted. The other alternative post offices listed are all in the region of 1.6 to 2 miles away - much to far without using a car or bus.Flag

Name: James Thomas on Feb 13, 2008Comments: Whilst I appreciate this is anectdotal I have used the post office once or twice a week for the past 2 years and I have never seen it without at least one other customer in it. Surely the usage of the office justifies its staying open. I would not use the P.O. in town and would no doubt drive to perhaps longford or another post office even further away.Flag

Name: Alan Cleckner on Feb 18, 2008Comments: This Post Office provides an excellent, efficient and friendly service to all, the exact opposite of the dismal quality of service generally experienced at King's Square. Is this perhaps the reason Post Office Ltd want it closed Everything else about the Royal Mail service screams decline, disinterest and a 'managed' withdrawal from the market.Flag

Name: Christine Lundegaard on Feb 20, 2008Comments: I have been using the services of Kingsholm Post Office since moving to the area 24 years ago. I strongly disagree with the proposed closure. There is no substitute and the suggestion of using King's Square is not a viable option. 1. It involves a 20 minute walk rather than a 5 minute walk from home. Many elderly and disabled people are not able to physically do this. Those fit enough to walk find it time consuming in a busy working day. Parents with young children accompanying them find it fraught with problems. 2. Despatching of heavy or cumbersome parcels will not be practicable. 3. Pensioners and the disabled in particular need a local access point for cash etc 4. Access to KingFlag

Name: John Price on Feb 24, 2008Comments: I am particularly concerned re the number of elderly and "vulnerable" people living in Kingsholm who will be seriously affected by this closure. Also what consideration has been given to the developments in Gloucester, eg St Oswalds site and Docks.Flag

Name: Judith Wootton on Feb 25, 2008Comments: To close Kingsholm P.O. is one of the most ridiculous things I have come across. The P.O. at Kings Square is always crowded with queues frequently going out of the main doors and to expect people to walk to Tredworth is beyond belief.Flag

Name: Tiffany on Jun 4, 2012Comments: The lamestream media has aldaery begun the censorship of Ron Paul. In the announcement of the winner of the NH straw poll on Fox News, they announced only the first place winner to avoid mentioning Ron Paul. Then Hannity has Giuliani on his show, acting as if he is in the running when this clown who was in on the 9-11 attack and cover-up got 2% in the NH straw poll. I guarantee lamestream parrot Hannity won't even mention Ron Paul. The NWO criminals are afraid of RP, the thought of an honest, intelligent patriotic president scares the excrement out of them.Hopefully the American Zombies are woke up enough to see their game of blacking out the best candidates for the people. If there was some way we could get the brainwashed idiots to just listen to Ron Paul because the lamestream media are not going to expose them to a real choice for president.Flag

During this season of Lent, may you continue to refresh and renew our bodies and minds. Lord, in your mercy, Hear our prayers. I pray for those who suffer illness, grief, worry, addiction or anxiety. I pray that you strengthen them with grace and courage in the face of their need. Receive our prayers and our hopes, God of mercy and justice, for we pray in the name of Christ, the light of the world.Flag
