Respected Jaswantji,

I write to you as a voter who has decided to support BJP for the Lok Sabha election 2014.
This election is critical to the future of the country, because, if we fail this time, Congress will destroy the country, its borders, economy, freedom and wealth. While Modi has inspired millions in India and elsewhere, the entire political spectrum is fighting against Modi, a travesty of electoral politics.
In this fight, as a senior leader and a towering intellect, you know that there would be decisions that may seem to individuals as incorrect, unjust or immoral. But we have to submit our individual views that future may or may not bear out in deference to the larger good, that is, to remove Congress from power, for at least two terms.
So, I would like to implore you to magnanimously show the party what you are made of, that you have reached such heights within the party you founded that such things, though painful for you to accept, may be for the better for our politics.
Kindly do consider the wishes of people who have signed this and reconsider your decision. What we would like to see is you working for the party, in spite of the apparent injustice meted out to you, because there comes rarely a time when man has to chose something bigger than himself than self, for the greater good. I am sure that sacrifice is in all of us Indians, more so, in leaders like you who have sacrificed so much for so little.
The petitioners sincerely hope you will eventually take a step that is helpful to the country.
