We are asking the community of Kiel, Wisconsin, USA to sign this petition to show support of the recent decision made by the Kiel Board of Education, which allows accommodations for transgender students in the school district.

The current state law and rights of transgender students has already been discussed at previous board meetings. It is clear that Title IX protects transgender individuals by prohibiting discrimination.

The Board of Education in Kiel Wisconsin has already voted on this issue, and voted in support of transgender accommodations. However, a minority of individuals in the community, including one board member, have been very vocal in their unhappiness with the decision to prohibit discrimination.

This petition is to support treating transgender students consistent with their gender identity, as in accordance with Title IX. This includes use of bathrooms, locker rooms, and sports activities.
