Comments: This language is not something I would choose for my daughter to see. This should only be available, if the school feels strongly about it, behind the library desk with parental permission.

Comments: As taxpayers we are consumers; and have every right to demand a workable solution to this issue. The current policy is negligent and discriminatory towards parents who object to their children being exposed to mature and explicit content.

Comments: RRISD should at the very least notify parents at the beginning of every school year that there are books in their libraries that contain strong sexual content and vulgar language. Parents should be required to sign a form letting the school know if their child is allowed access to these books or not. These books should be labeled and/or kept separate from the other books.

Comments: We are not asking for removal or banning. Just common sense. By respecting ALL values, as you say you are attempting to do, then allow us the choice to not have our children exposed to this. If this simple request cannot be honored, your agenda becomes crystal clear.
