| 3 | Moya Beall | This decision is wrong for many reasons, the most important of which is that it hurts people. Please keep the service in Kincardine, provided by hospital employees. |

| 6 | Sara Manoll | Ontario used to be admired for its committment to free, accessible, high-quality heath care. Sadly, our politicians have changed the focus from "health care for all" to a multi-tiered system which provides more & better services to those who are willing & able to pay for them. Shame! Keep our healthcare free & accessible to all Ontario residents! |
| 7 | Michael Grimaldi | It is being penny wise and pound foolish to privatize local physiotherapy - it creates long waiting lists for those who cannot afford to pay and seriously delays healing times and increases chances of recurrences. Stop this foolishness before it is too late. |
| 8 | Jill McIllwraith | There needs to be a greater understanding of rural health which physio is an important part. |
| 9 | Anthony Morabito | This is just another example of our government washing their hands of any responsibility. When will it STOP! |
| 10 | Leslie Sanders | |
| 11 | Shannon Roe | |
| 12 | Dana Boettger | I come from Grey-Bruce - I know what th weather is like in the winter. Rurals areas of this province must have all the services available to them like urban centres. This is short-sited given the aging population that will be needed hip and knee surguries more than ever.
Reverse this decision for the sake of the local population. |

| 14 | phil villeneuve | In Solidarity! |
| 15 | Lois Boggs | This is a disgrace and we need to stop this now before the LHIN's and the Liberal government privatize all areas of health care |
| 16 | Bernard King | Use public money to fund public services! |
| 17 | Rick Janson | Canada has sunk to last place among the G7 for PUBLIC funding of health care. This is just one more brick in the wall. This is just not one fight over one physio department at one hospital, it is one more battle over the future of Medicare. |

| 29 | Joan E. White | Shame on you for even considering such a thing. Hospitals are supposed to promote health and healing. Are we to think that full recovery is only for those who can afford it. Also, if you have ever needed physio after an accident, you know the complications that arise if you do not receive it.
This is one idea that you had better rethink. Saving $ now will only lead to coughing out more later. I guess you know you won't be elected by the time that comes around. I know you won't if you keep with your current line of thinking. |

| 32 | Dave Trumble | Dear Editor;
"Out-patient physiotherapy will no longer be covered at Kincardine's South Bruce Grey Health Centre as of August 18th"! Thank-you Dr. Roth and Gr. Gurbin for speaking out against this and engaging the community as fast as you did in opposition to this. I know my sisters and brothers that work at the hospital will not be far behind. I expect that by the time we are done words like underhanded and reprehensible will be inserted in many a letter and conversation about this topic.
As President of the Grey-Bruce Labour Council I am a firm believer in the resolve of people in our region and our communities to respond positively to challenges such as this seemingly backroom deal that denies even the most basic information such the credentials of PT Health (new fee for service provider) and the selection criteria, and I quote "Another of Roth and Gurbin's concerns is their inability to see PT's credentials or how they were selected". I am confident that the early actions of the Doctors mentioned above, and their move to the media was appropriate and timely. After all if they, nor the staff, at the hospital were accorded the simple moral and ethical overture of disclosure let alone consultation then for the purposes of this issue the rules were already set, and the Doctors must be encouraged as must the hospital staff and the community to announce loudly that this arrangement gives all the scent of a deal that should be ripped out of the hands of the board and into the light of day in the way of total disclosure for the entire community to see.
How is any other path possible when all of the above has taken place and to add the fact that this private firm will use publicly paid for space and then exclude so many people from the service by suggesting, may I say forcing, those that can least afford it physically and monetarily to find some way to Chesley, Durham or Walkerton?
With the Ontario Public Service Employees Union (OPSEU) as the immediately affected bargaining unit the Labour Council will look for guidance from the OPSEU membership along with any other workers / bargaining agents at the hospital angered by this action,. One initiative that will hopefully be supported will be to engage as much help as possible from such organizations as the Ontario health Coalition. Perhaps this will materialize in the way of a community rally. In the nineties Kincardine launched a campaign that stopped health and hospital restructuring in our area in its tracks. It is something we do again as front line services in our hospital are removed and threatened.

| 34 | Karen Passmore | We need access to publicly funded physiotherapy in Kincardine. I recently had a knee replacement and have private insurance which has paid $800 in physio fees and I still need more. Most people without insurance would find it difficult to cover this cost which should be paid by our government! |

| 36 | Patty Rout | Stop the privatization bring physio back to kincardine! |
| 37 | gerald hope | shamefull |

| 39 | Anonymous | This will result in a continual erosion of skilled physiotherapists as they get driven out of the field with the slow diminishment of contractual wages overtime. |
| 40 | Melissa Hogeveen | I was actually looking into the possibilities of returning to Kincardine next fall and was VERY interested in running the hospital physio program. I've very disappointed that the public program is being cancelled!!! I'm not sure the medical community understands how important physiotherapy is for prevention of injuries and maintenance of everyday functional abilities in a community. Not everyone can afford to pay for the services. |
