By the time he is old enough the reef will be dead. What's the world coming to. Want to see dead reef structure and impact on fishing Visit the Philippines...Flag

Name: Michael Chenoweth on Sep 22, 2004State: FLCountry: USComments: It is essential for the protection of the natural resources of South Florida that the Key Largo Science Office remain operational. Moving the biologists more than 200 miles from parks they have to protect can have no effect other than to degrade the conditions in those parks. The citizens of Florida deserve better.Flag

Name: Ginette Powell on Sep 23, 2004State: FLCountry: USComments: I am concerned about this efficiency measure, and would like more information about job responsibilities and work load in the office which is to be closed. It seems that federal govt. and local govt. are able to do so much more .... and this past year the State was pretty flush with money, too. So my questions are, what is the work load in the office And if the answer to that question is that the workload is significant and the state has the funds, why is this office being closed Logistically, a lot of money will now have to be spent on travel timeFlag

Name: Kathleen Lyons on Oct 3, 2004State: FLCountry: USComments: The Keys rely on this office and it would be a disservice to every resident and visitor of the Keys to close this vitally important office with its dedicated and proffesional staff. It would also be a great diservice to the habitat and all the wild birds fish and other critters that reside here or rely on the keys as a stopover during migrationFlag
