KENYANS FOR PEACE PETITIONS THE ICC to put off Ocampo 4 cases to allow a free and fair General Election; to collect 39 million signatures to push appeal. It is a stated objective of the International Criminal Court that it does not wish to interfere with our Constitutional Right to elect a candidate of our choice, KENYANS FOR PEACE therefore petitions the ICC to reorganise its diary to ensure that Kenyans are not deprived of their Constitutional Right to elect leaders of their choice in free, fair and all-inclusive elections. "In this regard, KENYANS FOR PEACE joins GEMA to petition the ICC to postpone the trial in the interest of having peaceful elections, to a period after the forthcoming General Election. In support of this petition, KENYANS FOR PEACE & GEMA commits themselves to collect over signatures from Kenyans and friends of Kenya to support this appeal before the ICC and if necessary, to take this matter before the United Nations General Assembly for adjudication. The presumption of innocence until one is proven guilty is enshrined in the Constitution in reference to the cases facing the Deputy Prime Minister, a prominent politician and Gatundu South MP, Hon. Uhuru Kenyatta, former head of the public service Ambassador Francis Muthaura, Eldoret North MP Hon. William Ruto and radio presenter Mr. Joshua arap Sang. KENYANS FOR PEACE therefore petition the International Criminal Court (ICC) to postpone cases facing four Kenyans to allow "free, fair and all-inclusive elections". The leaders, under the KENYANS FOR PEACE, decided on Saturday 24th in Visioconference and Webex meeting between Kenyan Community in the Diaspora (USA, France, UK, Switzerland, Germany, Canada, Australia and UAE) - to join GEMA petition that they will collect three million signatures from Kenyan Community in the Diaspora, at home and from Friends of Kenya. The time for change is now for Kenya – The International Criminal Court(ICC) should give Kenyans a CHANCE to exercise the Constitutional Right to elect leaders of their choice.
