Name: David Hanstater on Jul 26, 2007Comments: St. Lukes Hospice offers a unique service to desperately and terminally ill people throughout Brent and Harrow. It is the only hospice in the area. Although the need for more housing is important, it must not be at the expense of the vital service provided by St. Lukes.Flag

Name: Philip Scott on Jul 26, 2007Comments: As someone who both lives and works in the borough very close to the hospice I believe this is an essential facility which should be given every opportunity to expand and develop the services it provides to the whole population of the area. It would be very wrong of Brent Council to deny that possibility in the long term by selling off part of the land for yet more houses.Flag

Name: Pip Appleby on Jul 26, 2007Comments: It is most important for the Boroughof Brent to maintain the peace and tranquility of the present hospice which issituated in a very pleasant position away from main road traffic and major housing. the proposed development of this area would be detrimental to the very concept of St Lukes dedicated and caring work they do for the benefit of members of the local community. Further to this as one who is involved with Scouting it will be a great travesty if we lose the Scout hut which has served for many years as a focal point for the community. I appeal to those involved with this consortium to find another site which would accommodate the requirements and leave those that have to be in St Lukes to enjoy the remainder of their lives in a suitably respectful and peaceful atmosphere.Flag

Name: Vita And Norman Garber on Jul 26, 2007Comments: the building of flats in such close proximity to the Hospice will disturb the tranquility of the patients and be detrimental to the wonderful work done by all the staff, carers, and volunteers. St Lukes is a cross community facility whose ethos adhers to the practice of diversityFlag

Name: Stuart Selwyn on Jul 26, 2007Comments: I object, in the strongest possible terms, to the idea of limiting the expansion of St Luke's hospice by the granting of permission for housing on the only practical site on which The Hospice can develop their invaluable work for the communityFlag

Name: Judith Littman on Jul 26, 2007Comments: Whilst provision of homes is important, adequate provision of hospice care is equally important. There must be other sites in the borough where homes can be built.Flag
