Dear BU students, Ken Millard is being forced to retire against his will, those of you who have been in the workshop and been helped by him know what a huge contribution he makes. If you feel that he should not be made to retire sign this petition. We have also worded a petition to sign with the below to be handed to the DEC board. To whom it may concern, we as DEC students have been informed that the workshop technician Ken Millard will soon be forced into retirement. We feel that his retirement will have a hugely detrimental effect on the student experience offered by BU to DEC students. His technical knowledge, communication skills and pro active approach have benefited hundreds of students over the years. We the undersigned would be extremely disappointed if this motion were to go ahead and strongly urge the academic board to reconsider this action. signed

David Cannon, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: Ken is great contribution to the DEC and all of the students involved. Since september i have found Ken the greatest help when it comes to getting advice and experience, and he is a great technician and a great part of the University. It would be a mistake to let him go.
Adam Hunneyball, United Kingdom4 years ago Comments: It is unfair he is being forced to lose his job. The university has plenty of money to pay him, instead of building loads of new rooms. Ken is a massive help to design students, me included!
