Because Kellogg Road does not need stones and tar. We are still sweeping the stones out of our property entrance from the previous stone application from a few years back . We feel the property tax that we pay should cover these costs and should not be paying what you call a special assessment . The tar and stones don't fix all the dips and bad spots in tha road and last time they just tar and stoned right over them . It does a lot of damage as the stones embed into those of us that have blacktop driveways . Therefore we are petitioning to not have our street unnecessarily preserved and or not having our property tax increased to cover these negligent costs .
