255 Guenter SchenkBeinheimElsass, FranceFRI am, in France, a bit far from Ann Arbor, MIchigan but, if a medic combines her medical work with social responsibility to a suffering people, this cannot be interpreted against her, by any means. Dr. Wilkerson should be kept on her job, for the sake of the honor of Packard Community Clinic

265 Nancy MoehnPinckneyMIUSI I finally found a Doctor that I have respected and trusted for the past 5 years. I have faith in her ability to the extent that I highly recommend her to friends and family. In fact, three friends are now her patients. One, a patient with a hereditary heart condition has received EXCELLENT care from her- most importantly in a timely fashion. I can't say enough good about her and I feel that it is a terrible mistake on management's part to treat her the way that they are. If it continues, I will be very disappointed that the PCC lets personal feelings deprive patients of a talented MD. I always thought that they were a progressive operation that knows enough to realize that the best thing about the US is the freedom we have to be ourselves in a peaceful way. Kudos to Dr. Wilkerson for her activism!! Maybe a lot of her patients agree with her, maybe they don't. That's not the point. The point is that she provides great care that goes above and beyond that of any other Dr. care I have ever received. The point is, she is a Dr. in your office and a person out of it. Learn to deal with it, PCC. N. Moehn

278 Claire YoungAnn ArborMichiganUSPlease reinstate Dr. Wilkerson at PCC. She's the only physician I trust with my health. She takes the time to make sure I understand everything I'm supposed to do. She's very thorough with my care and is up to date on the new techniques in medicine. She has an open mind and will include me with the decisions I like to suggest especially with alternative medicine. Please bring her back. Thank you. C. Young

281 Cherie CharbeneauAnn ArborMIUSDear Board Members, I hope that you can reconsider the current firing of the best physician on staff at Packard Community Clinic. I have been seeing Dr. Wilkerson since she joined the staff and have found her level of care for myself and my daughter (who has multiple diagnosis, as well as a developmental disability) to be far superior to any physicians that I have seen at Packard in the 25 years that I have been a patient there (including Dr. Walden! who is wonderful). I do not care, nor should it be the business of ANYONE, what Dr. Wilkerson's private political beliefs or work is. As far as donors that would withold donations due to the political beliefs of one of the physicians, I think they need to be told it is not their business, and withholding donations is blackmail. How dare the Board stoop to such levels to coerce someone to suspend their political actions. I am astounded that in a city as progressive as Ann Arbor purports to be, that a board of directors of a clinic set up to help those less fortunate, would take such an action. We need physicians of Dr. Wilkersons caliber and strong beliefs, with a willingness to stand up for what they believe in, despite strong arms tactics such as you have undertaken in our community. I sincerely hope that the public outcry of injustice will make you reconsider what a valuble asset this fine upstanding person, and EXCELLENT Dr. is to PCC.
