GEMS are charging an aram and a leg in their other schools and soliciting help from students and parents to uphold the right of education in the remotest of areas, it is therefore unacceptable for them to take this course of action and endanger the future of 4,800 students. Please follow what you preach!

    Comments (Why do you think the school shouldn't be shut down): A school is a child's second home.Unless the child chooses on his own to shift a school, he or she should have a right to be throughout his/her childhood in a school along with their teachers and friends. Giving education is a noble work and not a business. The education group already masses huge wealth from the many schools it has and only a few schools it has which has fees less than 15,000 and this is also high compared to some very excellent schools in the UAE (for example IHS DXB, etc) . So, the group should continue all the schools without closing any and for development, it can use money from funds, etc. :)

Not all parents have the means to send their children to school and those with children whose parents cannot afford top notch schools should still be able to be educated. In addition it is time that the owner gives back to the less fortunate in the community!

You shouldn't shut schools down, work a way out. I'm sure there is one, if you try together as a school. You won't just cut connections off. Schools are like families we run to when we're upset with our own family. Friends, teachers and staff, they all mean a lot. If you shut it down, you'll not only ruin the connection of the school but uproot generations of a family. I implore you to see reason and request you to find another solution.
