April 14 &15th, 2012 The following petition requests the retention of the present TSA Player Development Program for the District, directed by Mr. Patrick Lowe & his selected team of coaches.

Dear Voting TSA Soccer Club Executives & Current TSA Board Members: As parents of participants in the 2012 TSA District program, we support and desire the continuation of the present curriculum for our sons and daughters as youth soccer players. Mr.Lowe provides a curriculum unique in the TSA district, and unique as district programming for 3rd Region. Lowe initiated the district program six years ago, and since then has been delivering training based on the developmental growth of each young person with a vision towards their long-term educational path as young soccer players. We are grateful to benefit from his forward thinking, which is reflected in the new principles of the Long Term Player Development recently instituted by the OSA and CSA. Mr.Lowe is familiar with the strategies currently being implemented across Canada, throughout the provinces, and in its district associations as described in “Wellness to World Cup” document. Laza (as affectionally known to all) offers youth players… • Conscientious coaching teams that provides high quality training accessible to all. Our district program's lengthened indoor/outdoor training provides further expansion possibilities for the TSA district soccer development program and a pathway of training excellence for the next generation of soccer players and their coaches. • Participants train with experienced and knowledgeable coaches who model excellence by regularly displaying a strong work ethic and skill development. The consistency of coaching excellence, as well as the time and frequency of training with staff thoroughly communicates the Player Development Program staff's love and respect of the sport! • Mr. Lowe's mentorship and inspiration are key for the participating U12 girls’ and boys’ success. The PDP's unique programming offers a long-term commitment to youth players now and in the future should they become Regional/Provincial players, and many players who make these higher level teams choose to continue to train with Laza. • At district, relationships are fostered amongst the diverse ages of PDP participants, which stimulates excellent social as well athletic and technical abilities. Often older players are seen supporting and offering encouragement to younger players, and these powerful youth-to-youth connections cannot be reproduced by adult–to-youth relationships. • From players, Laza as an individual is praised for his positive persistence and for setting high expectations for each player with confidence that they will achieve their personal best. The young athletes experience his care, and in return willing commit 120% to the program. Players know and appreciate the benefits of Lowe’s skill and driven desire for solid technique, and as a result appreciate being pushed to perform their best. • As the only district in the province providing quality long-term player development and training past the age of U12, the U13-18 boys and girls are raising the level of soccer skill and knowledge for their TSA home club teams. • The Player Development Program acts as a continuum for players wishing future entry into the Provincial and National levels by setting high standards. Often members of these ID teams (Regional, Provincial and National) continue to train with Laza, seeking his expertise. As additional exposure for older participants, he has offered inspirational trips to the US for training and tournaments. With our signatures, we respectfully request the continuation of the TSA Player Development Program in full and under the continued direction of Mr. Lowe and his coaching team.
