PLEASE SUPPORT & HELP US! Local council and the WNDC has managed to gain planning permission for either a large basket ball court or play area on the Vale in the Middlemore estate. This planning permission was obtained just before the houses were finished, they were therefore uninhabitable so residents were not informed before they moved in, we had no chance to object. This facility will not only be built approx 30 metres from our homes but it will only be 20 metres from a deep reservoir and storm drain ditch. This is a very dangerous area to encourage children to play. As well as this there are the considerations of noise (we bought these homes due to the quiet picturesque location) increased litter, lack of parking and the potential for gatherings of younger people in an unsupervised area causing possible antisocial behaviour (this and obvious vandalism is already a problem on the smaller play areas on the estate) We want to keep the Vale green to allow everyone to appreciate the facility for whatever recreation they choose. There are also 5 other play areas with swings, climbing frames, ziplines etc all within 100 metres of this proposed facility and the area is within a mile of the extensively facilitated Daventry Country Park. Why another play area is needed in such a dangerous and unsuitable location is a mystery. WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT PLEASE!
